A bit of a bio...
My name is Verdon Vaillancourt. I am a married father of two children, now mostly grown. I am from Northern Ontario, Canada. I am Metis. My passions are my family, art, music and hockey. I like making things and problem solving. I have worked at being a few things from guide, to carpenter, to artist, to web developer and systems administrator. They're all satisfying, just different tools ;)
When I'm not working, I have coached minor hockey and play oldtimer's hockey in one of the local bush leagues. I'm usually playing in one or two bands. Music has always been a real big part of me and I have done a lot of week-end warrior bar-band stuff over the years, mostly as a drummer/vocalist but also a guitarist/vocalist :)
I believe in giving back to your community when you can. At different times, I've been a scout leader, volunteered with community service clubs, and coached minor hockey. I was raised by parents who did much the same thing and hopefully I've set an example for my own children.
