I have developed a number of modules, add-ons and themes for phpWebsite. Some of these are available for download on various phpWebsite community sites and will soon be available here. If you are interested in these you could also e-mail me. An overview of a few of these projects are as follows;
Current General Modules
- phpwsbusinesses
- verdon's phpwsbusinesses is a module for phpws >= .10.x that facilitates a business/member directory. It has been used in a number of ways, but is most suitable for sites such as a Chamber of Commerce might have.
- podcaster
- verdon's podcaster is a module for phpws >= .10.x that provides a complete toolkit for publishing one or more channels of podcasts, also known as audio blogs.
- elections
- verdon's elections is a module for phpws >= .10.x that allows a site to run one or more elections with multiple candidate profiles, private or public, with many options.
- classifieds
- verdon's simple classifieds is a module for phpws >= .10.x that facilitates a simple classifieds system, akin to an organized bulletin board. Don't let the name fool you as there is much flexibility. It is not meant to replace phpwslisting, but does a similar task with a much smaller footprint.
Custom Modules
- cstconferences
- verdon's cstconferences is a module for phpws >= .10.x that handles all aspects of registration for an annual conference for the Canadian Society of Telehealth (CST) (opens in a new browser window). It takes registrations, handles seat inventory for user definable workshops and special sessions, as well as many other features. This module also incorporates secure transactions via real-time payment gateway, skipjack.
- cstabstracts
- verdon's cstabstracts is a module for phpws >= .10.x that facilitates all aspects of an abstract submission process for the CST's annual conference. Typical tasks include submission, review, revisioning and approval/moderation work-flows and a number of optional notification systems.
- cstregistration
- verdon's cstregistration is a module for phpws >= .10.x that ties together a number of other customizations and modules done for the CST. Essentially it is the registration and renewal system for annual membership in the society. Users may opt to register and pay via integrated skipjack payment gateway or 'offline'. Finalized transactions either create new users and member profiles, or update expiration dates for existing ones. New users are automatically added to a couple special user groups, and so on.
- phpwsVolunteers
- phpwsVolunteers is a module for phpWS .9.3.x that allows for detailed profiles of volunteers and matchmaking of volunteers to volunteer agencies, on a phpws >= .9.3 driven site. It is currently in use at one of my client sites, volunteernorthbay.on.ca (opens in a new browser window).

- DHTML menu kit
- verdon's DHTML menu kit is a theme and script kit for horizontal or vertical DHTML fly-out menus for phpws >= .9.x driven sites.
- CSS Theme for phpws .9.x
- verdon's CSS themes are clean and lightweight themes that are highly customizable almost entirely through the stylesheet.
- Dynamic theme for phpws .9.x
- verdon's dynamic theme for phpws >= .9.x is a script kit that will dynamically swap head graphics and/or things like stylesheets, and other core layout/theme elements, based on the parent-level menu item that is currently active (value from url), or current branch, or current category, and so on.
